UNESCO describes the tomb as an exceptionally rare and well-preserved example of Thracian sepulchral architecture, with notable sculpture and painting. Its chamber has distinctive half-human, half-vegetal caryatids whose garments form inverted palmettes. Surviving ochre, brown, blue, red, and lilac polychromy preserves evidence of the monument's original painted decoration. The tomb is exceptional testimony to the culture of the Getae and lies within the Sboryanovo Archaeological Reserve, a landscape containing more than 40 Thracian burial mounds and remains from several periods. The official Isperih museum site has carried conflicting current-status information for the tomb; confirm admission before making a dedicated trip. Interior access may be managed for conservation and should not be assumed. Check current arrangements directly with the History Museum–Isperih.
