Poda is a compact protected coastal wetland at the southern edge of Burgas beside the road toward Sozopol. The area forms part of the Via Pontica migration corridor. Its mosaic of freshwater, brackish and saline habitats supports breeding, migrating and wintering birds. The Bulgarian Society for the Protection of Birds operates the Poda Nature Conservation Centre overlooking the wetland.
